Indeed….the simple reality is that the incomparable Prussian/German martial tradition was adopted by the NSDAP because they were German…they didn’t have any hand in creating it. It’s a shame that their defeat led to the seemingly permanent demise of all centuries old tradition outside of honoring a few important figures like Clausewitz/Scharnhorst. Let Germany become German(not Nazi) again.

Inzwischen auch aus speziellem Kunststoff wie bei der US Army. Die hatten deren Helme im Laufe der Jahre aus praktischen Gründen, optisch an das deutsche Modell angeglichen. Der klassische Stahlhelm wird bei der Bundeswehr nur noch bei der Ehrenformation des Wachbataillons bei wenigen Anlässen getragen.
